| After more than 5 years in preparation, planning, and construction, Mount Vernon Baptist Church held their First Service in the new Sanctuary on January 3rd, 1999. After more than two years of double services it was a joy for the entire church family to worship together again. The 10,630 square feet facility seats 750 in the sanctuary, and $30,000 under our original construction budget. This allowed for several "extras" such as covered concrete walks and an underground electrical service. |
