Construction for the East Ridge Baptist Church new Multi-Purpose Worship Facility has begun after four years of praying and planning.  Brother Alan  Weishampel (Pastor) and Members of the  Murray St Baptist Church and 12th St Baptist Church merged after both church facilities suffered extensive damaged from hurricane Rita in 2005.    According to Wikipedia, Hurricane Rita was the fourth-most intense Atlantic hurricane ever recorded and the most intense tropical cyclone ever observed in the Gulf of Mexico. Rita caused $11.3 billion in damage on the U.S. Gulf Coast.  The New Facility will include Worship Space, Sunday School Space, Fellowship Space, and Church Offices.  Watch for updated progress photos.
