Major renovations were
completed in time for the church's 50th anniversary.
Restoration included raising the sanctuary ceiling and the addition of wide colonial
dental molding. The relocation of the balcony stairwell from the center of the foyer
allowed for a new center isle and created a spacious foyer. New stairs directly into
the sanctuary enhanced the continuity of the balcony. New raised paneling wainscot,
fluted trim, chandeliers, flooring, pews and pulpit furniture all enhanced the worship
atmosphere. Special lighting and dimmer systems greatly improved the visual
comfort. New air-conditioning systems added to the comfort and
efficiency. The project was completed nearly $20,000 under the
budget. |
